Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A major fire has destroyed a historic Iowa restaurant.

The Lighthouse Inn Supper Club had stood on Mount Vernon Road in Cedar Rapids since 1912.

It was the second oldest restaurant in the state of Iowa, and according to their website, gangsters Al Capone and John Dillinger dined at the venue in its heyday on the famed Lincoln Highway.

The fire broke out just after 5:00 a.m. this morning.
