(Iowa City, IA) -- Hills Elementary School will be demolished.
That's the decision being made by the Iowa City Community School District and the city of Hills.
The District closed the building after school ended in May, saying it didn't suit their needs, and that it would be too expensive to renovate, or maintain.
The city of Hills says while it would be nice to have the library or gym, the rest of the building is of no use.
Hills students will attend Alexander Elementary this year.
