(Des Moines, IA) -- An investigation is underway after a hit-and-run crash in Des Moines left a 10 year-old girl seriously hurt.
The Des Moines Police Department says the crash happened a little after 3:30 Monday afternoon at 2nd Avenue and Ovid Avenue. Investigators say a motorcyclist hit the 10 year-old then fled the scene. The girl was taken to the hospital with serious leg injuries. The Des Moines Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Police are still searching for the suspect, and so far, no arrests have been made.
