(Dubuque, IA) -- One man is in custody after police say he brought a gun onto school grounds Tuesday.
The Dubuque Police Department says a school resource officer was called to Audubon Elementary School Tuesday afternoon over a parental custody dispute. 39 year-old John McGee was taken into custody after the officer noticed he had a gun in his waistband. The gun was not loaded.
No one was hurt, and McGee is now facing Class D felony charges.
