(Macomb, IL) -- Two police officers are hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being shot in Macomb.
Investigators say the officers were fired at when they entered a home to serve a warrant around 7 last night.
Police say the officers knocked and identified themselves multiple times before forcing their way into the residence.
The shooting happened about a block from the Western Illinois University campus.
Both Macomb and Quad Cities WIU campuses will be closed today.
