(Marshalltown, IA) -- A suspect is in custody after a suspicious house fire in Marshalltown.
The Marshalltown Fire Department says crews responded to reports of the fire around 2:30 Saturday afternoon. When crews arrived, they found two separate fires inside the home, both of which were quickly extinguished. The resident of the home and her dog were able to get out safely.
The Marshalltown Police Department says a suspect has been arrested, and the fire remains under investigation.
