(Des Moines, IA) -- Law enforcement is suspending the search for a suspect accused of leading officers on a chase Thursday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the suspect sped away after a State Trooper tried to make a traffic stop on Des Moines' south side. The Des Moines Police Department says the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away on foot. Investigators have not released the suspect's description, and the search for the suspect has been suspended.
