(Lincoln, NE) -- Four judges have submitted their applications to be the next chief justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court. Judges David Bargen, Patricia Freeman, Ryan Post, and Jeffrey J. Funke, the latter being a current Associate Justice Nebraska on the Supreme Court.
All of the candidates will be interviewed by the Judicial Nominating Commission during a public hearing at the State Capitol on October 4th.
The candidate would be replacing current Chief Justice Mike Heavican, who is retiring.
