(Des Moines, IA) -- A multi-million dollar fundraising effort is underway way for a new playground and sprayground at Gray's Lake Park in Des Moines. The Des Moines City Council has approved the naming of the area after Rick Neumann. Construction is expected to begin in 2025, with completion in 2026.
“Rick Neumann has been a true champion for this project, guiding it from its earliest stages and spearheading the fundraising efforts that will bring this vision to life," said Jenny Richmond, Des Moines Parks and Recreation Assistant Director. "We are honored to name the playground and sprayground after him and his family, recognizing their leadership in creating this lasting gift for the community."
