(Delaware Co, IA) -- A burn ban is in place for all of Delaware County until further notice due to dry conditions.
Delaware County Emergency Management says the burn ban will remain in effect until there is enough rainfall.
They say the use of outdoor fireplaces, barbecue grills, properly supervised landfills, or the burning of trash in incinerators or trash burners made of metal, concrete, masonry, or heavy one-inch wire mesh, with no openings greater than one square inch is still allowed.
If a person needs to burn something, a burn permit can be requested from their local fire chief.
