LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Nebraska is seeing another week of expanding drought conditions.
The new US Drought Monitor Map from the University of Nebraska's National Drought Mitigation Center shows a new area of severe drought in Northeast Nebraska, with an expansion of moderate drought in that part of the state.
There's also severe drought in the Panhandle and in Southeast Nebraska.
Just over 80 percent of Nebraska is under some level of drought or near-drought.
