Des Moines, IA) -- A pickup ended up in the Des Moines River overnight. Nothing but the white roof was visible from shore, along Birdland Drive between 2nd Avenue and the Marina in Des Moines. Coincidentally, someone reported their new white Ford pickup stolen overnight from a local motel parking lot. They told police they got the new truck Wednesday, and it was gone this (Thursday) morning. No word from Des Moines Police on whether the two cases are connected.
