(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines will host the early rounds of the N-C-double-A Men's Basketball Tourney in 2028. It will be the 4th time Des Moines has been chosen as a host site.
Greg Edwards of Catch Des Moines says the tourney will likely attract 20,000 fans over that 3-4 day period. He says when Des Moines hosted the tourney in 2023, it had a $4.3 million impact on the local economy.
"We're just really blessed in this community to host this once again. Our entire community embraces it, our corporate community, Polk County is very supportive, and our great partner at Drake University as well," said Edwards.
