(Iowa) -- 16 Iowa counties affected by severe weather earlier this summer have been approved by the US Small Business Administration for more than $60 Million in disaster assistance loans.
Nearly $50 Million dollars will go to residents with just over $10 Million going to businesses to help them rebuild and recover from the severe weather in Iowa from June 16 through July 23.
FEMA's deadline to apply is Tuesday, October 22.
The qualifying counties include Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Humboldt, Lyon, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pottawattamie, Scott, Sioux and Woodbury.
