(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Online rumors of a bomb going off in Cedar Rapids last night turned out to be unfounded.
First responders were called to an apartment building on Kirkwood Court Southwest just after 6 last night for reports of a loud boom and a fire.
Police say someone set off a large firework and caught one of the buildings on fire.
Two apartments had to be ventilated due to smoke, and some siding on the building had melted, but no injuries were reported.
