Nebraska is approving almost $5.5-million dollars in funding to build ten new cellular towers in rural areas.
U-S Cellular will get the money to build the new towers in ten communities, mostly in the eastern third of the state.
The Nebraska Public Service Commission says the goal is to improve communication in underserved areas.
The towers will be finished within the next two years.
