(Ainsworth, IA) -- One person is dead after a car hit a train Monday morning south of Cedar Rapids.
Police say the crash happened around 1:50am Monday when a car ran a stop sign near Ainsworth and hit a train. The car ended up in a ditch after the crash. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.
The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
