(Moline, IL) -- Local postal workers say their ability to deliver your mail and packages on time may be in jeopardy.

Letter carriers from across the QCA held a protest outside the Moline Post Office Monday demanding better pay and safer working conditions.

Justin Lott with the National Association of Letter Carriers Local 318 tells WQAD News 8 that mail carriers have been working without a contract for over 500 days.

He say low wages, and safety concerns are making it hard to retain staff as the busy holiday season approaches.
