(Aledo, IL) -- A western Illinois football coach has been suspended indefinitely.
Mercer County Head Football Coach Tanner Matlick won't be on the Golden Eagles sidelines for this Friday's game against Princeton, and there's no word on when or if he'll return.
In a statement released yesterday, the School District says the suspension is the result of a series of events resulting in a climate and culture below the expectations of the school district and the community.
