(Davenport, IA) -- A new riverfront hotel project is being proposed for downtown Davenport.
The plan would see a new 88-room Marriott hotel, restaurant, office space, and event center built at LeClaire and Third Street on the site of the former Howard Johnson hotel.
The Quad City Times reports that developers are seeking city tax incentives due to flood risks at the site.
If approved, construction would begin next year with a completion date sometime in 2026.
