(Ankeny, IA) -- The Ankeny Police Department will partner with the Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force next week on a traffic safety awareness project.
The project will enforce and raise awareness to the state's move-over law. The law requires that drivers change lanes when approaching any stopped emergency vehicles, tow trucks, or vehicles with flashing lights. If a driver can't change lanes, the law requires reducing speed and being prepared to stop.
The traffic safety project in Ankeny will run from 9am-3pm on Friday, November 1st.
