(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will be offering fare-free bus rides on election day for local and express routes.
Paratransit customers are also allowed to book a trip to and from their polling location at least 24 hours in advance.
Sarah Welch, Communications Manger with DART, is encouraging anyone interested in riding DART to the polls, to visit the Iowa Secretary of State's website to find their polling location and address.
She says there are also trip planning tools on DART's website and the MyDART app.
The fare-free rides last throughout the entire service day on Tuesday, November 5th.
