(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources reported a sewage discharge in Des Moines.
The sewage got into the North Walnut Creek. The city notified the department about wastewater leaking from a manhole.
The intersection of Merle Hay Road sewage systems has been leaking for an unknown amount of time into the creek.
Cleanup efforts are currently underway. No dead fish have been reported so far.
