(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids is getting another 6-million dollars in federal funding for a new bridge.
The Arc of Justice bridge on 8th Avenue over the Cedar River downtown will be 15 feet higher than the existing bridge.
The new funds are in addition to 56-million in funding already received for the project.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 and be complete in 2030.
