No One Hurt After Reports of a Weapon at Jefferson High School

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Community School District is confirming that what was thought to be a weapon was confiscated Tuesday at Jefferson High School.

CRCSD says it received reports of a weapon inside the school, at which point it partnered with the Cedar Rapids Police Department. The weapon was later determined not to be an actual weapon but was nonetheless removed.

CRCSD says no one was hurt, and there is no threat to the school or community.
