(Rock Island, IL) -- Rock Island mayor Mike Thoms has put forward a nominee for third ward alderman.
City Council will decide Monday whether to approve former City Manager Randy Tweet for the position.
The 18-year Navy vet would serve in the third ward spot vacated by Kevin Maynard last week until April's municipal election.
