(Davenport, IA) -- The question over Mariannette Miller-Meeks' residency for voting is settled.
Miller-Meeks and her husband own a farm near Owatonna, outside the 1st Congressional District, but she keeps an apartment in Davenport and votes in Davenport.
Miller-Meeks' residency was challenged by a voter in the First CD.
Now, the Scott County board that considers provisional ballots has determined Meeks does reside in Davenport and accepted her ballot
There is no law that would require a congressman to live in the district they represent.
