(Lincoln, NE) -- Firearm deer season is underway starting Saturday, November 16, and lasting through next weekend, Sunday, November 24. Nebraska Game and Parks is urging hunters to be on the lookout for signs of chronic wasting disease. Deer management stations have been set up for hunters to bring their harvest in to check for the fatal, neurological disease that affects deer, elk, and moose.
