(Davenport, IA) -- A Davenport man is in custody after police say he attacked a family member with a croquet mallet.
Police say 37-year-old James McNabb grabbed the wooden mallet from the garage during a dispute and struck the victim in the face, causing multiple facial fractures and a possible brain bleed.
The victim has requested an order of protection following the assault.
McNabb is being held without bond in the Scott County Jail.
