(Bettendorf, IA) -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony will soon take place for The Landing Ice Rink in Bettendorf.

The rink will be 4,000 square feet larger than the city's temporary Frozen Landing Ice Rink and will offer new features to elevate the skating experience.

Construction on the $20 Million project began in 2023 and will be officially open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, on World Ice Skating Day.

A ribbon-cutting and tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled for the next day, December 16, at 4:00 p.m.

The rink is located at the corner of 2255 Middle Road.

The city is also looking to hire ice rink attendants and clerks for the 2024-25 season.
