(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Insurance has ordered an Iowa roofer to stop acting as public adjustor and mediator between property owners and insurance companies.
Darren Reeves Roofing of Anita had entered into arbitration after adjusting an estimate and failing to provide receipts for materials to the insurance company when requested.
The Iowa Insurance Division says a contractor can provide information, but may not negotiate or act as a go-between on behalf of the owner.
