(Moline, IL) -- A plan is in motion to install traffic barriers at the entrance to the pedestrian path on the I-74 bridge.
Police say a drunk driver killed two young men when she drove her vehicle onto the path in 2022.
Moline City Council is voting to approve the plan. Bettendorf City Council will vote on the project next month.
If approved, the Iowa Department Of Transportation will install the barriers in the spring.
The Illinois DOT will pay for half the cost.
