(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids is also losing it's oldest sandwich shop.
The Maid-Rite on First Avenue SW is closing after 90 years in business.
Today is the last day to get a loose-meat sandwich at one of the last Maid-Rite's in all of eastern Iowa.
The closure may not be permanent. The current owners say they are in talks with the manager of the store to keep the Westside Maid-Rite open.
If those talks fail, the closest Maid-Rite after today will be in Waterloo.
