On "X," the Douglas County Sheriff's Office says a person was driving northbound on 72nd Street north of Ames Tuesday night when the vehicle hit a pothole causing a flat tire.

The driver continued until he could safely pull over, but the flat caught fire, which quickly led to the entire vehicle being engulfed in fire.

The sheriff's office says if you see a pothole, please report it to the city or county.

If you get a flat tire, please don't continue to drive on it because of the fire threat.
