(Franklin County, KS) — An Ames man died in a fatal nine-person crash in southeastern Kansas. Two vehicles were involved in the head-on collision after a southbound SUV crashed into an oncoming car. 37-year-old Alexander Ernest of Ames died at the scene.
Seven more people were killed, and a 15-year-old was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
