(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Parks and Recreation will partner with the Iowa Wildlife Center for a unique event at Gray's Lake Tuesday.
The groups will host a pop-up event including a discussion on bat conservation and the natural history of bats in Iowa, followed by a live bat release. The event is scheduled for 7:30pm this evening at the Northwest parking lot and boat ramp.
Rehabilitated bats that were found in unsafe locations will be released back into the wild at dusk.
