(Iowa City, IA) -- A federal judge is ordering four international students at the University of Iowa to either reveal their identities or withdraw a lawsuit challenging the federal government's termination of their student visas.
The court denied a motion to maintain the student's anonymity which their lawyers says protects them from deportation.
The government says the students lost their visas due to criminal records.
Their student visa status remains in effect until a ruling on a longer-term injunction which is expected within two weeks.
