Douglas County Sheriff's investigators say, now that he is medically cleared, a homicide suspect has been arrested.
33-year -old Nicholas Saitta is booked on charges of criminal homicide and use of a weapon to commit a felony in connection with the death of his mother, 65-year -old Dianne Misiunas.
Deputies say the mother and son were in a fight near 89th and Wyoming late Thursday afternoon, with one of them armed with a knife.
They were taken to a hospital with Dianne Misiunas in extremely critical condition. She died at the hospital.
Investigators say Saitta is accused of being the aggressor.
