An 18-year-old is facing nearly a dozen charges in connection to several ongoing investigations, including two shootings and an armed robbery in Des Moines.
Police began searching for 18-year-old Sari Camp in late June after he allegedly entered a female friend's home, assaulted her, and stole her phone. He was later identified as a suspect in a shooting less than two weeks where one person was injured near Cheatom Park.
Des Moines Police also believe Camp was involved in the attempted theft of several cars, the shooting of a home, and an armed robbery on a DART bus in July. An investigation also revealed that he was a passenger in a chase involving a stolen car on August 3.
He was taken into custody by DMPD on Tuesday morning, and police say he was armed with a handgun.
