(Coralville, IA) -- Coralville residents will decide whether they want to be taxed one-percent on everything they buy this fall.
City Council is approving a 1% sales tax measure for the November ballot.
Half of the revenue raised must go to property tax relief by Iowa law. The rest will be used for projects including replacing the 50 year-old recreation center at a cost of $50-million.
Local sales taxes will also be on the ballot in Iowa City and North Liberty in November.
