(Polk County, IA) -- The Polk County Extreme Temperature Plan will go info effect again starting Friday at 10am.
The plan includes activation of cooling centers throughout the Des Moines Metro, free rides to cooling centers from Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority Buses, and free access to cooling centers at homeless shelters. The extreme temperature plan will be in effect until Monday, August 18th at 7am.
