(Rock Island, IL) -- A Quad Cities prosecutor says there is evidence that 11 year-old Trudy Appleby was kidnapped.
Rock Island County State's Attorney Dora Villareal says due to the statute of limitations, 50 year-old Jamison Fisher couldn't be charged with that 1996 crime.
But other evidence, including signs that Appleby was strangled, lead to a Henry County grand jury charging Fisher with three counts of first-degree murder.
Appleby went missing 29 years ago this Thursday. Her body was never found.
