Three Children Removed from Plymouth County Home Housing Over 100 Dogs

(Plymouth County, IA) -- Three children have been removed from a home in Plymouth County after more than 100 dogs were rescued from the property by the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.

According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies searched the property earlier this week and found the children and dogs living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions, with high levels of ammonia in the air.

The three children have been placed in the care of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
