(Moline, IL) -- A portion of River Drive in Moline will close Monday for eight weeks.
The closure will allow for demolition of the viaduct over River Drive leading to the Rock Island Arsenal.
A $12-million, two-year project to replace the entire viaduct began in September.
River Drive will close to through traffic from 12 Street to 19th Street.
Traffic will still be allowed to access River Drive to get on and off the Arsenal.
The closure will last through December 19th.
