(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Council Bluffs Police identify the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle early Thursday evening.
Investigators say 47-year-old Heidi Divis of Omaha was crossing Kanesville Boulevard northbound at 8th Street against a walk signal when an eastbound vehicle driven by 72 year -old Dennis Stark of Council Bluffs went through tthe intersection with a yellow light and hit the pedestrian.
Police say Stark was showing signs of impairment and a search warrant was granted for a blood test as the investigation continues.
