(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport is delaying approval of new rules to regulate solar farms.
City Council is electing to wait until a land use study is complete before greenlighting a process requiring developers to get a special use permit from the city.
No solar farms are proposed at the moment, but Council members are expressing concern over solar panels popping up on prime development land near I-280.
The land use study is expected to be ready by next spring.
