(Des Moines, IA) -- As of November 30, the Des Moines Police Department has surrendered or secured 702 guns. DMPD says that’s an 8 percent increase in the number of firearms recovered compared to last year.
Of the more than 40 guns recovered in June, 55 percent were seized by street officers.
