(Iowa) -- A relatively new annual tradition in Iowa returns on New Year's Day.
Several state parks will host First Day Hikes.
It's part of a national push to get people outside on the first day of the year.
More than 40 Iowa state parks will host either a guided group hike, or offer a suggested self-guided hike.
