A large police presence responded to report of someone shooting at a police car just after 4:00 p.m. and there was a pursuit down about 30 blocks of Grand Avenue from about 62nd Street to 31st Street on the west side.
West Des Moines Police tell WHO Radio News they did a roll call of all officers on duty and say none of the police cars was shot at.
They say a witness thought he heard gunfire.
Eight police cars were counted at 31st and Grand where the chase ended and officers questioned the driver of the car they were chasing.
