The man found guilty of killing a 12-year-old Des Moines girl last year in a traffic crash on Bell Avenue will spend up to 20 years in prison.
Nineteen-year-old Fernando Lopex Aguilar will also have to pay court fines and $150-thousand dollars in restitution to the family of Lea Phann.
WHO Channel 13 reports at the time of the crash Aguilar was in the country illegally on an expired work card under the DACA program.
